We set off from Ambleside and went on a spectacular walk round the Fairfield horseshoe. With blizzard conditions on the top and very little visibility, we battled against the elements and thankfully all had crampons, which were definitely needed. Luckily it cleared on the way down and we finished with some great views looking towards Helvellyn.
On Sunday the sun shone and we had a great walk up to Helm Crag and Steel Fell following the steps of Wainwright.
