Looking for more adventure? Bored of the telly? Want to get fit in the fresh air?

Well hello and congratulations: you've found us, which proves there's nothing wrong with your navigation skills...

Newbury Mountain Club is West Berkshire's friendliest club for all walking, mountaineering and rock climbing. We organise regular weekend trips, mostly in the UK but with the occasional jaunt to foreign shores. There's an eclectic mix of abilities and outdoor interests (up hills, on rock faces, in beer gardens...), and everyone's welcome.

The Club meets on alternate Tuesdays at the Bacon Arms pub, Oxford Street, Newbury as shown below, from 9pm. (Click here for a map of how to get there.) The evening is an informal, relaxed and sociable get together that provides an opportunity to receive details about forthcoming weekend trips, evening climbs or other ad-hoc club events. It's also a chance to look at photos and reminisce about past trips!
