Time to oil the bike chains, with an impromptu cross country cycle tour. Starting from Newbury and heading north across the downs and Ridgeway to Goring, then along the Thames path to Reading and back to Newbury along the Kennet and Avon Canal. The total distance will be about 40 miles, but depending on how keen people are there are options for an extra 15 miles. Meet outside the LSB on Northbrook Street for an 08:30 start.
