'The celebrated Torridon peaks provide every delectation the rambler could
desire: deep corries, imposing buttresses, airy pinnacles and magnificent views.
Nowhere in Britain do mountains so proclaim their individuality.'
Getting there: It is a 9hr (604m) journey by car, or fly to Inverness then 1hr
drive across to Torridon. The journey can be made on friday or saturday with
a stop on route for those driving. This is why a long weekend at least is necesary
to enjoy at least 2 days walking in between the travelling.
Accomodation: I have booked 7 youth hostel beds in dorm rooms from 2nd June
for 3 nights, let me know if you want to arrive earlier or stay later. The price
is £17.75pn, I will have to take deposits to confirm your place ASAP.

'Over the last two years SYHA Hostelling Scotland has invested over £100,000 at Torridon. The hostel has a new roof, new windows, one fully refurbished washroom and two partially refurbished washrooms. With the help of Community Energy Scotland we have installed solar panels and considerably improved the roof insulation. There is a programme of ongoing redecoration including extra sofas and new carpets in some areas.'
There are other options such as B&B or cottages if people want to stay the week or part of, I haven't contacted them for availability but I will do if there is interest.
It was suggested the midges are not so bad early June and that camping would be ok. My experiance of Torridan was in July/August and the midges were ferocious!
