Brecons Trip 2019

A few years ago we went to a lovely National Trust Bunkhouse, Dan Y Gyrn, near to Pen Y Fan and I have booked it for the first trip of the year in January. (James this could be your chance to redeem your saucepan that you left there.)

When:

11th-13th January 2019

Where:

Dan Y Gyrn, Blaenglyn Farm, Libanus, Brecon, Powys, LD3 8NF, only just over 2 hours from Newbury!

The barn is situated about 6 miles from Brecon, nestled in the Upper Tarell valley. It is within walking distance of Pen y Fan, (886m) Fan Fawr (734m), and Fan Frynych (629m).

OL 12 Brecon Beacons (West) SN 978 227

Cost:

It will cost approximately £32 each for two nights depending on numbers (suitable for adults only). Food and travel will be extra.

What’s the property like:

It is a converted barn and has an open-plan kitchen/living room/diner with a wood burner. The property sleeps 12 people in two bunk rooms, but a 3 further places are available if you are prepared to sleep on a camp bed in the lounge! Do have a look on the website:   https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/holidays/dan-y-gyrn-bunkhouse-wales
