Newbury Mountain Club is West Berkshire’s best club for walking, hiking and mountaineering plus other occasional activities. We organise regular weekend trips throughout the UK but with the occasional jaunt to foreign shores. There’s a wide mix of abilities and ages and everyone’s welcome regardless of your skill level and experience.
The Club meets on the first Tuesday of each month from approx 8:30 pm which is normally held at The Bacon Arms, 10 Oxford Street, Newbury RG14 1JB. The evening is an informal, relaxed and sociable get together that provides an opportunity to discuss forthcoming trips or other ad-hoc club events. It’s also a chance to look at photos and reminisce about past trips!
Please note: Sometimes the pub meet may be preceded by a walk or other group event beforehand and may also be at a different venue on particular occasions. Please subscribe to our mailing list and Facebook to be kept informed before the next event.
We also organise ad-hoc walks and social evenings on other evenings throughout the month so please contact us to be added to our mailing list for regular updates as well.
