This trip will be to the Cwm Dyli hut in Snowdonia. The hut is in Nant Gwynant on the slopes of Snowdon, 500m up a track from the parking. Its relative remoteness makes it an ideal base for any walking on Snowdon or to the less visited hills SE of Snowdon such as Cnicht (the Matterhorn of Wales). The nearest pub (Pen-y-Gwryd hotel) is a 2-3km (uphill) walk away.

For more details of the hut, see http://pinnacleclub.co.uk/club-hut/.

If the last two winters are anything to go by, we could get fantastic snow conditions and lots of potential mountaineering. On the other hand, it could just rain. Either way you’ll need to watch the weather and come prepared.

The hut sleeps 20 so plenty of space. (2 spaces are always allocated to Pinnacle Club members, but they don’t tend to use them when there’s a sole-use booking.) The cost is £10pppn, although that will drop to £8 if 15 or more people attend.
