A nice local trip over near Calne just over an hours drive away. Although easily driveable I thought it would be a bit different for the club to camp now we are approaching the next phase of lockdown. This site is nice and cheap but has good facilities and a well stocked shop. It is only £5 for a pitch and then £5 per person for the night (tbc).

I thought we could pitch up on the Saturday after the walk but happy if people are interested in the Friday evening too for a more leisurely start in the morning…
The plan is to do a loop to Cherhill Monument and the surrounding Downs approx 15 miles but can be extended or shortened as required. This is a family friendly trip and the walk is easily shortened back to the campsite for those with little legs.
On Sunday we can pack up and optionally do a short walk on the nearby western edge of Pewsey Downs & white horse taking in the white horse & canal. Because we are local we’ll all be home in a jiffy too…
On Saturday evening the nearest pub is 1 mile away or you can get both pizza & Indian deliveries to the campsite too or we may be able to do something Al Fresco depending…
