Dartmoor Wild Camping Taster, May 3 – 6
Claire will be hosting this trip, the plan being to base ourselves at a campsite on Dartmoor, and set out for an overnight wild camp on the Saturday. Also those who wish to stay on the campsite on Saturday night are most welcome, and can join for part of the walk on Saturday morning and meet us on our return on Sunday afternoon. Or you can plan your own walks. We’re looking at staying at Harford Bunkhouse and Camping near Ivybridge

with a circular hike (no more than 20 miles over the two days) heading up the Erme Valley onto the moors on Saturday to camp, returning to the campsite via a different route on the Sunday – where hopefully the weather will allow for a BBQ and campfire on the Sunday night. Note that the campsite allows campervans but not caravans or large motorhomes, and also has camping pods and the bunkhouse.
