Day walk – Martinsell Hill, overlooking Pewsey Vale
Sunday 29th October – 10am
Join me for this really lovely walk starting at the Martinsell Hill car park south of Marlborough. It’s just under 7 miles of pure joy! Varied terrain: wooded paths, chalk grassland, farm tracks, field edges, a short stretch of country lane through the little village of Oare – followed by a stiff climb up to the hill fort. Stunning views across the Vale of Pewsey, a trig point and, apparently, on a clear day you can see the spire of Salisbury Cathedral from Martinsell Hill…
Meet: Martinsell Hill car park. This car park is quite small, so car share where possible.

Length: 7 miles. About 3.5 hours of walking plus stops.
Bring refreshments. Assuming weather is with us we’ll stop for lunch towards the latter end of the walk to take in the views.
