Purbeck Camping Weekend -families welcome.
When:
Friday 9th June-Sunday 12th June 2017.
There is also a trip to the Lake District on this weekend but unfortunately the campsite is full owing to a number of race events in the surrounding area, so if anyone would like to go away without having such a long journey this trip could be for you.
Where:
Steeple Leaze Farm, Unnamed Road, Wareham, Dorset, BH20 5NY.
The campsite is located only 2 miles from the abandoned village of Tyneham, 4 miles from Corfe Castle and 5 miles from Wareham.
Directions: From Corfe Castle head to Steeple and look out for the farm track which is located about 1/4 mile west of Steeple (the postcode put into sat navs tend to take people to the church in Steeple).
Campsite:
This is a family run farm located in the very heart of the Isle of Purbeck. The campsite is situated in one of the most beautiful areas in Dorset. Facilities on the farm are fairly basic but include showers, wash basins, toilets and allow open fires (wood can be purchased).
Costs:
Bookings are not accepted so just turn up! However I will ring when I know numbers.
- Adults & children from age 13: £7.00
- Children aged 5-12: £3.00
- Children aged 4 and under: free
- Dogs £1 each per night
Information:
The campsite is located near the South west coastal path and so there are many walks in the area giving us the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Dorset coast. Walks to be planned.
