I have booked Gualachulain Bothy for the week of Saturday October 25th to Saturday November 1st 2025. The bothy is at the end of Glen Etivie, almost at the road head. The bothy sleeps 6 at a cost of £700 for the week. There are 4 places left.

A few things to note –
The accommodation is functional & ‘basic’ in an open plan arrangement. There is no sauna, no pool table & no hot tub!
The nearest supermarket of any size is in Fort William, 40 miles away so a full week’s worth of meals will have to be planned & all the ingredients required bought up, as popping out for a pint of milk won’t be an option ( the Co-op in Ballachulish is 20 miles away).
There is no wifi & no mobile phone signal. The owners have another house, behind the bothy, where there is a landline for emergency calls ( assuming there is someone staying in it ).
The bothy is surrounded by fine 3000ft hills, although the bothy is at 12ft, so days will be bigwith head torch starts & finishes likely.
Being close to the sea ( Loch Etivie is a sea loch ), the weather should be better than further inland, and a lot more changeable, so if it is wet one day…
