Ivy Cottage Knoydart – Self Catering Holiday Cottage Inverie
The journey to get here is overnight sleeper to Fort William (leaving Euston at 9.15pm), train to Mallaig, and short ferry hop to Inverie, arriving at our accommodation mid afternoon on the Friday.
After settling in, there will then be three full days to enjoy the mountains, valleys and coastline of this wonderful wilderness area (hopefully snow covered), plus a day to do a walk back on the mainland, before the sleeper back to Euston, which leaves 7.50pm. I have always managed to get to work by 10am on the morning of return, if that is your need. Approximate cost per person is £200 travel plus about £60 accommodation for the four nights (if 8 people go, 7 already signed up). The overnight train would be £100 if you don’t want a sleeper berth.
