Snowdonia – Nantle Ridge

Date / Time
Date(s) - 25 Jun 2021 until 27 Jun 2021 All Day

Covid rules permitting, I have booked for the club the lovely Talymignedd campsite in the Nantile Valley in Snowdonia for the weekend of 25 to 27 June. See http://talymignedd.co.uk/  for pictures and further details of the site. We will have our own private field but with easy access to the very nice toilet and shower block. The site is nestled beneath the Nantile Ridge and with views to Snowdon. The plan will be to walk the main part of the ridge on the Saturday, with a longer option for the fittest; this is a superb ridge walk but without the crowds of Snowdon. The other main walk from the campsite is to Mynydd Mawr (the Elephant), a shorter walk but with superb views. Within a short drive there is also access to Snowdon via the Snowdon Ranger and Rhyd Ddu paths, and Moel Hebog. The North Wales coast path is not too far either.

The campsite is just £6 per adult per night for camping. Although I have booked for the Friday and Saturday night, they are flexible about arrival and departure days either side of the weekend so you could come for longer – a few of us will definitely be going up a few days earlier. Camp fires are allowed so evening entertainment is sorted! The site does have electric hook up (including for caravans) but if you require this you will need to book this for yourself (the numbers are limited, so do it soon) and you will be in a different field.

To join up and get confirmation of the route and meeting point please sign up using our booking form here.

Further details and lift arrangements will be sorted out nearer the time. If anyone needs to borrow a tent, then let me know.

In order to attend this trip you need to be a full or prospective member of the club (having filled in the on-line club membership form).
