Our regular February trip to Snowdonia in our ongoing search for snow…
We are going to new independent hostel in the Ogwen Vallley:

Walk straight from the hostel to a ridge walk that starts from thefront door up to Carnedd y Filiast, and includes Myndd Perfedd, Foel-goch, Y Garn, Devil’s Kitchen and the Glyders.
Alternatively, there is Snowdon and plenty of other options. Even non-walking activities, e.g zipworld where I’ve checked there is availability on the Sunday but it is expensive.
Where:
Just off the A5 between Capel Curig and Bethesda
Cost:
The property sleeps 24 people and based on 15 going will cost £40 for two nights, obviously less if we have more people. If there is room there may be a few spaces for children. Food and travel will be extra.
What’s the property like:
It was originally 2 quarry men cottages that have been extended over time.
It has  2 x 6 bed dormitories, 2 x 4 bed dormitories
1 x self-contained flat with double-bed, bunk bed, en-suite shower/toilet and fully equipped kitchen
1 x 2 bed room with sink and private toilet1
A reception reading room
Non-allergenic linen and duvets is provided. Bring our own towels
Women’s shower block – 3 showers, 2 toilets, 3 sinks.
Men’s shower block – 2 showers, 2 toilets, 2 sinks.
Drying room. Central heating during the winter months.
