Date / Time
Date(s) - 19 Apr 2014 until 26 Apr 2014 All Day

This a tradiional 18th Century hunting lodge set in its own grounds. It is located at the head of Loch Duich overlooking the River Shiel with lots of walks including Munros on the estate! It is within easy access to Skye and Torridon.

Claire has kindly offered to lead some walks and so we will know doubt have just a few Munros included (over 3,000ft). Last year we had fantastic winter conditions and so if you are planning to come on high walks then ice axes and crampons may be needed. Claire is organising a course on winter skills in Snowdonia, Wales so this could be a chance to practise what you have learnt. Claire is also planing to run an overnight backpack/bothy during the week which you may wish to add.

This is definately a ‘comfy sofa’ trip, with not one, but two sitting rooms, (one having a big open fire),a kitchen with an aga, breakfast room, a formal dining room and drying room.
The Lodge sleeps 16 in eight rooms: 4 twin bedrooms, 1 triple, 1 single and 2 doubles with all bedding and towels provided.

The cost for the week will be £70 for the week if full (look at the website and you will see that it’s a bargain!) If you only want to come for part of the week that is fine but the cost will remain the same.

To secure your place, first e-mail Maggie to check availability and then pay a £25 deposit into the club account.

Lots of people have shown an interest so if you would like to come I suggest you e-mail me soon as possible. If the lodge fills up there is other accommodation including a youth hostel nearby which you could arrange and of course would then be welcome to join in with our activities.
