Day Walk from Aldworth.
I hope you can join us for a scenic local walk taking in the River Thames on Saturday, 29th July.
Meeting place: The well-known Bell Inn, in the village of Aldworth RG8 9SE (OS 158 -1:25,000 Grid Ref 556 797). From Newbury head to Hermitage, through Hampstead Norreys and follow the signs to Aldworth. Park along the road in front of The Bell.
Start time: 10.15 for 10.30am: We will walk to Streatley and follow the River Thames to Moulsford where we can and possibly stop for a drink by the river. We then head up to the Ridgeway and back to the pub which will hopefully be open! If there is time we can visit the Aldworth Stone Giants at the local church.
Distance: Approximately 10 miles
What to bring: packed lunch, drinks, snacks etc. Also, waterproofs plus sun cream/hat depending on the weather.
