Cracking little campsite situated conveniently just off the A30 on the edge of Bodmin Moor, not far to the beach. Plenty to do in the area, moorland walking, coast path, the Camel trail (walk/cycle/horse), climbing, sailing, surfing, eating (Padstow), drinking (local pub 1 mile away), Lanhydrock NT etc etc, it’s Cornwall so the world is your lobster. The campsite has all the amenities you would need, including solar showers, small shop and they allow campfires, oh and did I mention that there is a pub nearby? Read the reviews here – http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=2576

Price is £8pppn for adults and £4 pppn children (5-15), under 5s are free.
No dogs allowed.

The only catch is that you have to book online via their website. Consequently, you will have to book yourself in as he didn’t have the facility for me to reserve a number of places and I don’t know who is coming and for how long. We have booked in from the 28th July to 4th August. Currently there are 35 places (that is people inc. under-fives) left for the week up to the 3rd August. If you want to stay over the to the 4th there is very limited space left, 4 people left after us. So book soon to avoid disappointment. When booking, I put a note in the Special Requirements box, saying it was part of the Newbury Mountain Club booking and can we camp together, if you do the same then we should all be co-located. If you have any problems with availability, let me know, as he said he can squeeze a few extras in if needs be. Please let me know when you have booked, so that I can keep tabs on things.
Cheers,Pokey
