Nice little campsite situated between Sidmouth and Seaton, about 2 to 2.5 hours from Newbury. About a mile out of the pretty village of Branscombe with its two pubs, and various National Trust properties. A further ½ mile takes you to the beach and the South West Coast Path, part of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Local shops in the pretty fishing village of Beer 2 miles down the road. Lots of other activities in the area, such as cycling, fishing, sailing, horse riding and a donkey sanctuary.
The campsite has all the amenities you would need, showers, washing up facilities, village shop (2 mile) and they allow campfires in baskets, oh and did I mention that there is a pub nearby? Price is £12 to 16/night for up to 2 people depending on tent size (£3 pppn additional children aged 5-16). Dogs £2.
You will need to book directly with the farm, let them know that you are with Newbury Mountain Club
We have booked in from the 24th to 31st July. Currently they have quite good availability, but this is the first full week of most people’s school holidays, so book soon to avoid disappointment.
If you have any problems with availability, let me know, I will see if we can negotiate more places.
This is a family friendly, but not family exclusive, trip. Once the kids are in bed we will be sat around the fire having “grown-up†chats. So the more the merrier!
