Lake District Bunk House Trip
Friday 7th– Sunday 9th February 2020
After many hours of searching we have finally found some accommodation in the Lake District that has availability (thanks Claire). So far we have a booked a room for 4 but there are a couple of others available, a room for two and a six.
There is also the option of staying in the Brotherswater Inn which is next to the Bunkhouse: Bed and breakfast for 1 is £47.50 per person. There are two double and 2 twin rooms available.
If you would like to stay in the Bunkhouse please let me know asp (at the latest by Friday 17th January). Please book your own room in the Inn and then let us know
Where:
Sykeside Bunkhouse, Brotherswater, Patterdale CA11
The Bunkhouse is situated in Dovedale Valley (not the one in the Peak District), with stunning views and surrounded by footpaths to Dove Crag, Hart Crag, Fairfield and High Street.
Bunkhouse:
All rooms have their own toilet and wash basin. Showers are shared with the adjoining campsite.
Rooms are centrally heated and carpeted and contain a table, chairs and storage facilities. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag and towels (a sheet over the mattress and pillow is provided).
There is a basic indoor cooking area with 2 camping stoves which cost 50p for 30 minutes’ continuous use (if you would prefer to bring your own stove you are welcome to set it up on the work surface), fridge and sink. Please provide your own cutlery, crockery, pot and pans.
We will eat at The Pub on Saturday evening.
A few of us plan to go up on Thursday to avoid Friday traffic and have an extra day. If you are interested please let me know.
