All Day
This is a family/pet friendly trip and with alternative accommodation options to suit all tastes too…
Normally we head to north wales and drive straight through Llangollen marvelling at the scenery across the valley as we head straight towards Snowdonia, so this time we are going no further!!!
The area is so packed full of so much stuff to do that this is easily a multi-day trip so I have chosen the long early June bank holiday as well as the good weather that June offers so that we can make the most of the area. For example:
– The Llangollen round (a 33 mile circular route taking in all the summits of the Vale of Llangollen)
– Llantysilio & Maesyrychen Mountains (a prize for the person who can pronounce those correctly)
– White water rafting
– Rock Climbing & Abseiling,
– Gorge Walking & Canyoning
– Caving
– Mountain biking
– Canoeing
– Pontcysyllte Aqueduct walk
– raphont Cefn Mawr Viaduct
– Castell Dinas Brân ruined Abbey
– Scenic Llangollen Railway
We plan to camp 10 minutes walk away from the town and with direct access to all the area has to offer. This also means that the trip is open to anyone who would like to arrange their own accommodation in town, and we can also eat out as well if we would like to.
The campsite is this one: http://www.wernisaf.co.uk/
Please arrange your own accommodation at the campsite or in town as suits and keep us complete trip booking form: http://www.newburymountainclub.org.uk/bookings-form/
