This was a really busy, huge hostel situated on the lakeshore of Winderere and had the advantage of a good late night bar. On Saturday we awoke to low cloud (where were the mountains?) and drizzle so decided not to do the planned high route, instead we got on a ferry heading off to the other side of the Lake. It must be the first time NMC have started and finished a walk by getting on a ferry! Simon bravely set off on a run heading up into the hills but it wasn’t what you would call an ‘enjoyable‘ experience or the best run ever!
